Outsider in Luton is a re-interpretation and mapping of Luton’s colours and architectural form. Revealing the character and aspects of place through its architectural and urban details whilst reclaiming the negative and celebrating the overlooked. Holden has captured her relationship with place through photography, colour, text and print making. The resulting work in effect creates a new visual language, a Luton palette. The Luton palette's individual reference names tell a story of both Holden's observations and experiences.
